Read this first.

SANKALPA-i is a contemplative companion. It is not therapy, not medical or psychological treatment, and not a crisis service. It does not diagnose, treat or cure anything, and it is not a substitute for a qualified professional. Using it does not create a doctor–patient, therapist–client or any other professional relationship.

If you are in distress or thinking of harming yourself, please talk to a person now — Tele-MANAS, the Government of India's mental health helpline, on 14416 (free, 24 hours, multiple languages), or KIRAN on 1800-599-0019 (free, 24 hours). If someone is in immediate danger, call 112.

Our full statement of what this is and is not lives on the disclaimer page, and it forms part of these terms. Nothing on this page reduces it.

In short

  • You must be 18 or over to use SANKALPA-i.
  • The founding beta is free, limited to 108 seekers, unfinished, and may change or end.
  • What you write or say stays yours. You give us only the permission we need to run the service for you.
  • The software, the name and our patent application are ours. The traditions we have learnt from belong to nobody.
  • We cannot promise the service will always work, and what it says can be wrong. It is never advice.
  • Indian law applies, and the courts at Pune, Maharashtra decide any dispute.

This summary is a courtesy, not the agreement. The numbered clauses below are the terms that bind us both, and they prevail if the two ever differ.

Who these terms are between

These Terms of Use are an agreement between you — the person using the service, whom we call the seeker — and Activénse Holistic Solutions Private Limited, a company incorporated in India with its registered office at Flat F204, Ishan Srushti, Warje, Pune 411058, Maharashtra, India, recognised by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) as DIPP145329. In these terms "we", "us" and "our" mean that company.

"SANKALPA-i" or "the service" means our application and website, including the version served at sankalpai.in and app.sankalpai.in, in whatever form we make it available.

By creating an account or using the service, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the service. Our privacy policy and our disclaimer form part of this agreement.

What SANKALPA-i is, and what it is not

SANKALPA-i is a daily contemplative companion. You write or speak plainly about your day, in English, Hindi or Marathi, and it answers briefly with one voice. It adapts to the time of day, it follows the Hindu lunar calendar, and it remembers what you have said before so that it can hand it back to you later. It draws on Indian contemplative traditions.

It is not therapy, not medical or psychological treatment, not a diagnostic tool and not a crisis service. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition, and it is not a substitute for a qualified doctor, therapist, counsellor or any other professional. Nothing it says is medical, psychological, legal, financial or any other kind of professional advice, and you should not delay or set aside professional care because of anything it says.

The service does not monitor you for emergencies and cannot summon help. If you or anyone else is in danger, use the numbers at the top of this page or your local emergency services.

Its replies are generated by software. They can be mistaken, incomplete or unsuited to your situation. You remain responsible for your own decisions and your own care.

Who may use it

You must be 18 years of age or older. Indian law does not permit a person under 18 to enter into a binding contract, and these terms are a contract. SANKALPA-i is not designed, written or intended for children, and we do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to use it.

If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we will close it and delete what is held in it. If you believe a child is using the service, please write to us at connect@sankalpai.in.

You must also be legally able to agree to these terms in your own name, and you must not be barred from using the service under any applicable law. You may use the service only for yourself — not on behalf of another person.

The founding beta

The founding beta opens on 14 September 2026 and is limited to 108 seekers. It is free while it lasts. We are not charging for it and you are not buying anything.

A beta is unfinished software, and we ask you to treat it as such:

  • Features may appear, change or be withdrawn without notice.
  • There may be interruptions, defects, wrong answers and loss of data.
  • We may limit how much you can use it, in order to keep it running for everyone.
  • We may end the beta, or the whole service, at any time.

If we decide to end the beta or the service, we will tell registered seekers in advance by email and allow a reasonable period for you to take a copy of what you have written before anything is deleted.

Please keep your own copy of anything you would be sorry to lose. We are careful, but a beta is not a place to store your only copy of something precious.

If we introduce paid features in future, we will say so clearly, and we will not start charging you for something you already have without your agreement.

Your account

You will need an account. Give us accurate details, keep your login to yourself, and do not let anyone else use your account. What happens under your account is treated as done by you.

Tell us promptly at connect@sankalpai.in if you think someone else has got into your account.

You may close your account at any time, from within the service or by writing to us. How we handle your data when you do is set out in the privacy policy.

How you may use it, and how you may not

You may use SANKALPA-i for your own personal, non-commercial contemplative practice. That is what it is for, and it is all the permission we are giving you.

You must not:

  • Use it instead of care you need. It is not therapy, treatment or a crisis service, and it must not be used as one — for yourself or for anyone else.
  • Present its output as professional advice. Do not pass its replies off as medical, psychological, legal or any other professional guidance, to anyone.
  • Use it on someone else's behalf, create an account for another person, or enter another person's private information without their knowledge and consent.
  • Break the law with it, or use it for anything unlawful, defamatory, obscene, hateful, harassing, threatening, or infringing of anyone's rights.
  • Attack or probe the service — no attempts to break in, overload it, disrupt it, bypass limits or security, or access another seeker's account or reflections.
  • Scrape, copy or mine it — no automated collection of the service or its outputs, and no reverse engineering, decompiling or attempting to derive our methods, except to the narrow extent Indian law says we cannot stop you.
  • Use it to build a competitor, or use its outputs to train, fine-tune or evaluate another artificial intelligence model.
  • Resell it, rent it, sublicense it or otherwise make it available to others, whether for money or not.
  • Misrepresent yourself, or impersonate us, our team or anyone else.

You are responsible for what you put into the service and for what you do with what comes out of it.

What you write stays yours

Your reflections are yours. Everything you type or say into SANKALPA-i belongs to you. We claim no ownership of it, and we are not buying it from you by letting you use the service.

So that the service can work at all, you give us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to store your reflections, to process them, and to show them back to you — including handing something back to you weeks later, which is the point of the thing. That licence exists for one purpose only: to operate SANKALPA-i for you. It is not transferable except as part of clause 15, and it ends when you delete the content or close your account, save for the short period in which routine backups age out.

We do not sell your reflections. We do not publish them. We do not use them to train anyone else's artificial intelligence model. We do not show them to other seekers.

If you ever choose to send us feedback, a bug report or a suggestion, we may use it to improve the service without owing you anything for it. That covers feedback about the product — it does not cover your reflections, which clause 7 protects.

What we collect, where it is stored, how long we keep it and what rights you have over it are set out in the privacy policy.

What is ours, and what belongs to nobody

The SANKALPA-i name, the wordmark and visual identity, the software, the interface, the written and recorded material we supply, and the method underlying the service are ours or our licensors', and are protected by Indian and international intellectual property law. An Indian patent application covering the underlying method was filed on 31 March 2026 (application number 202621041365). Using the service gives you no ownership of any of it — only the permission described in clause 6, which we can withdraw under clause 12.

The traditions belong to nobody. SANKALPA-i draws on Indian contemplative traditions that are immeasurably older than this company. We claim no ownership of any practice, text, teaching or tradition itself, and we make no claim to represent, authorise or speak for any lineage, school or teacher. We present these traditions as traditions we have learnt from — not as something we discovered, and not as a promise of any outcome. Our rights extend only to our own particular implementation.

As between you and us, and to the extent the law recognises rights in it at all, you may use the text the service generates for you for your own personal practice. Other seekers may receive similar replies, and we make no promise that anything generated is unique to you.

Availability, and the services we depend on

We will try to keep SANKALPA-i available, but we do not guarantee it. It may be unavailable for maintenance, for repair, because of something a supplier has done, or for reasons entirely outside our control.

The service runs on infrastructure and language-model services provided by others. Their failures, changes in their terms or withdrawal of their services can affect what SANKALPA-i can do, and sometimes at no notice. Where that changes something material for you, we will tell you what we reasonably can.

You need your own device and internet connection, and you pay for those.

What we do not promise

In plain words: we are a small team in Pune shipping unfinished software, and we would rather tell you what we cannot promise than bury it.

We do not promise that the service will always be available, that it will be free of faults, that it will suit you, that it will meet any expectation you have formed, or that anything it says will be accurate, complete or appropriate for your situation. Replies are generated text and can be wrong.

We do not promise any result, benefit, improvement, change or outcome of any kind from using SANKALPA-i.

Except for anything that Indian law does not allow us to exclude, the service is provided "as is" and "as available", and we exclude all warranties, conditions and representations that are not written into these terms.

Limits on our liability

Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including liability for fraud, for fraudulent misrepresentation, or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence. Read the rest of this clause with that in front of it.

To the fullest extent Indian law allows, we are not liable for:

  • anything you decide, do or do not do on the basis of something the service said;
  • any delay in, or absence of, professional care;
  • indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential loss;
  • loss of profit, revenue, goodwill, opportunity or anticipated savings;
  • loss of or damage to data, including reflections you have not kept a copy of;
  • interruption, unavailability or discontinuation of the service.

Where we are found liable despite the above, our total liability to you for all claims taken together is limited to the greater of the total amount you have actually paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim arose — which, during the free founding beta, is nil — or ₹1,000 (one thousand Indian rupees).

These limits reflect the fact that the beta is free and unfinished, and you accept that we would not offer it on any other basis.

Suspension, and ending your use

You may stop using SANKALPA-i whenever you like, and close your account from within the service or by writing to us. Nothing is lost by stopping, because nothing was being counted.

We may suspend or end your access, in whole or in part, if you break these terms, if we reasonably believe you are putting another seeker or the service at risk, if we are required to by law, or if we discontinue the service. Except where the reason is serious or the law requires otherwise, we will give you notice first and, where we fairly can, a chance to put things right.

If your access ends for any reason, we will handle your data as set out in the privacy policy. Clauses 7, 8, 10, 11, 14 and 15 continue to apply after this agreement ends.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms — because the service changes, or the law does. The date at the top of this page always shows when we last did.

For any change that materially affects your rights, we will tell registered seekers by email, or in the service itself, before it takes effect. Continuing to use SANKALPA-i after that date means you accept the revised terms. If you do not accept them, please stop using the service and close your account.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of them or out of your use of SANKALPA-i, are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.

The courts at Pune, Maharashtra, India have exclusive jurisdiction over any such dispute or claim, and you and we both submit to them.

Before going to court, please write to us at connect@sankalpai.in. Most things can be settled by two people reading the same email, and we would much rather do that.

The usual legal machinery

If one clause fails

If any part of these terms is held unenforceable, that part is cut back only as far as necessary, and the rest stays in force.

If we do not enforce something

If we do not enforce a right straight away, we have not given it up.

Transfer

You may not transfer your rights under these terms to anyone else. We may transfer ours to a group company or to whoever takes over our business, provided your rights under these terms and under the privacy policy are not reduced.

The whole agreement

These terms, together with the privacy policy and the disclaimer, are the whole agreement between you and us about SANKALPA-i, and they replace anything said earlier.

No partnership

Nothing here makes either of us the other's agent, partner or employee.

Language

These terms are written in English. If we publish a translation for convenience, the English version prevails.
